Use its own Color by dropdown to shade every district statewide by any of those measures at once. Switch to 🏥 Health for a map of MN ZIP codes (ZCTAs) colored by any of ~40 CDC PLACES health measures — chronic disease rates, health risk behaviors, disability, and health-related social needs — modeled at ZIP-code granularity from CDC survey data. Switch to 🚗 Crime for a county-level map of Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension offense data — actual/cleared counts, crime rate per 100,000 population, and clearance rate for ~50 NIBRS offense types, by year (2021–2025). Switch to 🪪 Permits for a county-level map of MN Permit to Carry data, from the BCA’s annual legislative report — color by percent of adults (18+) holding a valid permit, the total count of valid permits, or one year’s application/denial/status activity, by year (2021–2025). Switch to 📊 Census for all 1,505 Minnesota census tracts with their full American Community Survey profile — population and age, race and origin, income (including the full household-income distribution), education and school enrollment, housing value/rent/tenure/age, employment and industry mix, health insurance, disability, veterans, broadband and commute — colorable by any of ~49 measures. Note this answers a different question than the Elections map’s demographics: that one estimates who lives in a political unit by interpolating block groups onto precinct lines, while this shows each tract’s own published figures at Census’s native geography. Switch to 🦌 DNR for Minnesota deer hunting: pick a Layer to switch between Deer Permit Areas (season dates by weapon type, quota designation, CWD/disease rules), Wildlife Management Areas (public hunting land, by which species are allowed), DNR administrative districts (office contact info), and Historic Harvest (deer killed per area, 1993–2014, by weapon type where reported). Everything is from the DNR’s own GIS data, baked into the map at build time rather than fetched per click.
